The Plugged Toilet....

So, we have had a problem with the girls toilet upstairs being plugged for awhile...in fact we think that Derek flushed something down it a little while back that got stuck in the basement floor pipes and backed up and we had to pay a plumber to come out and clear whatever that was out. Well, a little after we fixed that, the toilet started not quite flushing as well as it should again, every couple days Ryan would find himself up there plunging their toilet yet AGAIN! We gave lecture after lecture about flushing the toilet EVERY time we use it and about not using too much toilet paper. Well, last night Ryan went up and it was clogged again...only this time it wasn't going down AT ALL!! And of course we weren't just trying to flush nice clean water...if you know what I mean YUCK!! So after much plunging and a lot of disgusting mess, we got to scoop the crap water out of the toilet get all the water out of the tank and totally disassemble the toilet, scrape the caulking off around the bottom of it and tip the toilet on its side..YAY...NOT! First thing we found was a PENCIL...real nice! Then looking up into the toilet with a flashlight we found the culprit that had been causing all the plunging...A MAKEUP COMPACT!! Now who would flush those type of things down the toilet?? Hmm...DEREK!!!! He was definitely on our crap list last night! So...now it is all put back together and works like a charm:) Let's just hope that this is the last time he flushes anything like that down our toilets again!!
